It’s a fashion frenzy in Queenstown

IT’S A FASHION FRENZY IN QUEENSTOWN.

With an influx of new brands arriving in Queenstown this winter we are almost spoilt for choice. Gone are the days when a cross-country road trip to Dunedin or short weekend away to Auckland, Wellington or Melbourne was our only choice when it came to shopping for style.

Over the last year Queenstowner’s have been treated to a flurry of activity on the fashion scheme. The refreshing thing is, they all target a different market. Lululemon led the way last September with a huge move from an inviting but pokey store to their new site on The Mall. For all you activity junkies, yogi’s and gym-goers alike, walking through the doors of Lululemon really is a sensational experience. The warmth received from the staff, the smells wafting towards you from the candles burning and the glow from the fire in winter months just screams out ‘come in and enjoy the experience’.

Already a favourite of mine, Girl Next Door was one of the first stores to call The Landing their home. Ideally placed for convenience, The Landing is fast becoming locals’ one stop shopping area. Not only are we able to do our grocery shop with much needed boutique food vendors but we can shop for clothes and grab a coffee. Being the only clothing store at The Landing, Girl Next Door has the winning formula; Boutique feel, great brands including Wish and Sass, a range to suit larger ladies and very reasonable prices. It’s just what we need.

In the last month we have seen a hub off activity in the old Outside Sports Building. I’m sure I wasn’t the only one eagerly awaiting the arrival of a trio of stores promising to bring positive additions to our existing brands available. They didn’t disappoint. The North Face delivers a bright inviting shopping experience. On offer; a great selection of outdoor sporting equipment and clothing along side day-to-day functional casual wear. It’s a active Queenstowner’s dream.

Next up Huffer. One word, smooth. Walk in and take in the simplicity of the layout, move through the stores flow, touch the sumptuous fabrics that make up their collection. It really is a touch of kiwi class.  I can’t wait to loose control in there.

Online shopping has been the go to for many of us here in Queenstown in years of late with a limited selection of brands to shop. We do have our very own online store that is definitely worth a visit. Charlotte Lane, now in their second year offers an ever-changing selection of styles to suit any fashion conscious woman. The excellent service of free delivery to anywhere in New Zealand and the ability to return unsuitable items really leaves with no excuse but to shop Charlotte Lane.

So ladies and gentlemen get out there and style up this winter in Queenstown. There really is something for everyone.

With Style

Hannah
